The Union County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a police involved shooting that happened in Roselle earlier this morning, announced Union County First Assistant Prosecutor Albert Cernadas, Jr.
According to the investigation thus far, members of the Linden Police Department chased a stolen vehicle into Roselle just after midnight. The vehicle crashed in the area of 418 15th St., said Cernadas and one suspect fled the vehicle and gave chase. During a struggle with police the suspect was shot in the arm and was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for the non-life threating injury.
No charges have been filed, said Cernadas, and the investigation continues. Additional information will be released as it becomes avaiable.
