Two Brothers Arrested in Plainfield Homicide

Two brothers from Plainfield were arrested and charged yesterday with the May 10, 2012 shooting death of a city man, announced Union County First Assistant Prosecutor Albert Cernadas, Jr. The arrests followed an intense investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force.

Rickeem Booker DOB: 1/14/1990 and Ricky Booker are charged with the murder of Manuel Moscoso, which occurred at the intersection of Roosevelt and East Front St in Plainfield. They are charged with Felony Murder, Robbery, and Weapons Possession.

Ricky Booker DOB: 1/5/1989 , was charged yesterday while in the Union County Jail on an unrelated charge. He is being held on $2 million bail. Rickeem Booker was arrested last night in Plainfield and is being held on $1 million bail.

The victim was discovered around 4:19 a.m. on May 10, 2012 and was first believed to be a fatal hit and run accident, but was quickly established as a homicide.

These criminal charges are mere accusations. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
