Union County is seeking to contract per-diem Forensic Nurse Examiners to complete medical forensic examinations of victims of sexual assault.
As a member of the Sexual Assault Response Team, the Forensic Nurse Examiner will work closely with law enforcement agents, confidential advocates for victims of sexual violence, and emergency room personnel. The Forensic Nurse Examiner will provide comprehensive and compassionate care to victims of assault.
This position requires dedication, flexibility, the desire to embrace evolving advances in forensics, and the ability to function independently.
Candidates must have an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license with a minimum of two years of experience, ideally in emergency department nursing or in OB-GYN nursing. Specialized FNE certification is required but may be obtained and reimbursed after commitment to the program.
