Additionally, it provides assistance to local law enforcement agencies in addressing quality-of-life issues affecting certain communities within our jurisdiction. The unit fosters relationships and trust within the community, offers security at community events, and apprehends violent offenders operating within targeted areas associated with violent crime. Furthermore, the unit conducts criminal investigations concerning violations of New Jersey criminal laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Personnel of the Investigations Unit support the integrity of targeted patrol zones and collaborate with community members to develop, implement, and oversee problem-solving systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the unit also ensure the safety of our courts and enforce their rulings by apprehending individuals who evade justice. The officers utilize a combination of advanced computer technologies and traditional policing methods in their investigations, which may span from days to years.
