POSTED:
Wednesday, April 10, 2024 - 10:30AM

Please be advised that the pedestrian foot bridge between Balmiere Pkwy and Riverside Dr in Cranford will be under costruction. The date and duration are as follows:

Start date: On or about Monday, April 15, 2024

Duration: Approx. 9 months

The work being performed will consist of the replacement of the existing footbridge timber structure over the East Branch of the Rahway River at Nomahegan Park, with a single span, structural steel prefabricated pedestrian bridge, connecting Riverside Drive and Balmiere Parkway in the Township of Cranford.

Due to the nature of the work, full closure of the bridge will be necessary for the duration of the project. Pedestrians who use the bridge will need to plan alternate routes and extra travel time.

The County apologizes for any inconvenience or difficulties encountered as we make this needed improvement to Nomahegan Park.
