Please
be advised that the movable bridge on
South Front St. in Elizabeth will
be CLOSED. The date and duration
of the project are referenced above.
A full
closure of South Front St. in the
immediate vicinity of the bridge will be necessary.
The bridge will be closed 24 hrs a day 7 days
a week until further notice. To
accommodate marine traffic the bridge will
remain in the upright open position for the
duration of the closure.
A
clearly marked detour route utilizing South First
St. will be established and maintained by County
forces to facilitate vehicular traffic. Please
note that Emergency vehicles will
not have access over the bridge and should plan
accordingly. Access to residences,
and businesses including deliveries and other
services, will be maintained.
The
County recognizes the inconvenience a closure
of this type may cause and apologizes for any
difficulties encountered.
