From the Bureau of Traffic Safety & Maintenance

With our ever increasing reliance on the automobile and our road system, road repair is inevitable.

The County of Union New Jersey continues to strive in providing the best possible roads to ensure the motoring public's safety, convenience and enjoyment. We know the inconvenience that road repairs bring and we make every effort to complete them in a timely manner. Any project requiring road closure will have a clearly marked detour route maintained by a county work force during hours of work.

In addition, Union County residents have this handy web page to help them anticipate road construction and plan for alternate routes and extra travel time when construction affects them. This page is designed to inform motorists of current or planned projects that will affect travel conditions on county roads. Please note that details regarding any of the projects listed are subject to change so check back often!
