The Union County Board of County Commissioners, in collaboration with The Union County Division of Social Services is hosting virtual information sessions for job seekers interested in joining a team committed to helping residents achieve self-sufficiency and access essential support services. The sessions will take place via Zoom, and residents have the option of attending a session either Monday, May 12th at 1:00pm or Thursday, May 15th at 10:00am.
“These info sessions are a great opportunity for Union County residents to learn how they can be part of meaningful, service-driven work,” said Commissioner Chairwoman Lourdes Leon. “We are proud to support programs that not only strengthen our community but also offer residents pathways to rewarding careers.”
The Division is actively hiring for multiple full-time positions with a range of salaries. These roles involve determining eligibility for public assistance programs, conducting fieldwork and investigations, and helping residents access employment and child support services. Applicants must have either 60 college credits or equivalent experience in relevant fields such as loan processing, job training, or enforcement of support obligations. These opportunities are available exclusively to Union County residents.
“As Liaison to the Workforce Development Board, I know firsthand the importance of connecting residents with jobs that make a real impact,” said Commissioner Sergio Granados. “These roles are more than just employment — they’re about being on the front lines of service, ensuring families in our communities get the support they need. We are investing in people who want to create change, build careers in public service, and be part of a mission that matters.”
