Global Youth Service Day

On Friday, April 25th, Union County will participate in the Global Youth Service Day(GYSD). GYSD is a national event where youth, worldwide conduct community service projects and activities that benefit their communities. This year’s project is creating Healthy Relationships. The UC Division of Children and Youth Services (DCYS), wants you to participate!

Here’s what you have to do:

  • Complete the Registration and pre-assessment survey below.
  • Submit 20 positive relationship messages.  These must be done on construction paper, cut into strips of 2 inches by 10 inches, (2 x 10).  You can write or draw the positive messages or do a combination of both, and have your friends do some too so that a total of 20 are submitted.
  • Participate in an event located in Elizabeth at 1143-1145 East Jersey St., 10th floor, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM.  At this event there will be a presentation on “Healthy Relationships”.  In addition when you come to the event, you will bring in your 20, 2 x 10 strips of paper with the positive relationship messages and we will build a chain from all papers submitted
