Commissioner Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded is currently serving her second term on the Union County Board of County Commissioners in 2024, following her role as Chairwoman in 2024 and Vice-Chairwoman in 2023. Since her re-election to the Board in 2021, she has led with a focus on enhancing community connectivity, inclusivity, and the well-being of residents across all ages.

Additionally, Commissioner Palmieri-Mouded introduced the Train the Trainer Mental Health Program to support residents’ mental health needs and helped establish the UCPAC Legacy Arts Club, which offers free arts workshops for residents aged 60+ to encourage creativity, self-expression, and community connection.

Her focus on enhancing accessibility is reflected in continuous updates to county facilities and programs, ensuring inclusivity and improving residents’ quality of life.

Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, and a lifelong resident of Union County, she holds a B.A. in English and an M.P.S. in Criminal Justice Leadership from St. John’s University. After her studies, she served as Associate Dean for Student Life at St. John’s University, managing student organizations, events, and off-campus community service projects. After the birth of her twins, she chose to stay home to care for her children and now volunteers at their schools in addition to her responsibilities as a County Commissioner.

She currently resides in Westfield with her husband George and their five children: Matthew, Christopher, Nicholas, Ryan, and Adeline.
