About the Homeless Trust Fund

The Union County Homeless Trust Fund is a local initiative in Union County, New Jersey, that is dedicated to preventing homelessness and helping individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness to secure stable housing. Union County Homeless Trust Fund Advisory Board

The Union County Homeless Trust Fund (HTF) Advisory Board’s function and responsibility is to provide additional financial resources to assist homeless and housing insecure individuals towards the goal of self-sufficiency and obtaining permanent affordable housing. HTF priorities are established based on the availability of other local, state and federal resources. The HTF Advisory Board provides advice to provide:

  • Rental assistance vouchers for affordable housing projects
  • Supportive services to help homeless individuals or families obtain and/or maintain affordable permanent housing.
  • Prevention services for individuals and families who are housing insecure or at risk of homelessness
  • Acquisition, construction or rehabilitation of housing projects or units to maintain the permanent housing supply in Union County.

As a member of the Advisory Board, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of individuals and organizations to identify and prioritize local needs and allocate funding to support effective programs and initiatives. By sharing your expertise and experience, you can help ensure that the Homeless Trust Fund is able to provide effective support to organizations and agencies working to prevent and end homelessness in Union County.

Additionally, serving on the Advisory Board can be a rewarding way to give back to your community, connect with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable insights into the challenges facing individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness.
