Service Description: The Family Crisis Intervention Unit (FCIU) is a legislatively mandated program for families experiencing family conflict, runaway behavior, truancy, minor delinquency, threat to safety issues, and human trafficking within the family unit warranting intervention. The goal is to mediate the immediate crisis and make recommendations to prevent involvement or further involvement with the court. When all appropriate resources are exhausted, and the family is still in crisis, FCIU has the option of filing a Family Crisis Petition with Family Court. This program has 24/7 response capability.
