Internal Affairs Public Disclosure

In 2019 five (5) Union County Sheriff’s Office employees served suspensions of 10 days or more.

  • Sergeant was suspended for fifteen (15) days for conduct unbecoming a public employee and neglect of duty.  The sergeant violated UCSO rules and policy by dispatching officers by phone rather than radio and retaliation against an officer reporting misconduct.
  • Sergeant was suspended in excess of ten (10) days after being found unfit for duty.
  • Officer was suspended for sixteen (16) days for conduct unbecoming a public employee and courtesy.  The officer failed to carry out the transport of prisoners in an efficient manner and used unprofessional language to a fellow employee.
  • Officer was suspended in excess of ten (10) days for conduct unbecoming a public employee, insubordination, and UCSO rule violations.  Officer held prohibited extra duty employment without the permission of the Sheriff, failed to inform the Sheriff of prescription medication, and was uncooperative and/or delayed following an order of a superior officer.
  • Officer was suspended in excess of ten (10) days pending removal that was initiated in 2018.
