Union County is working on a new Union County Transportation Master Plan. The Plan will provide the framework for transportation planning and investment for the County and municipalities in years to come.
Participation by the public and municipal officials is critical to crafting a relevant Plan. To achieve this we welcome comments and guidance from municipal officials, residents and the business community.
Transportation infrastructure is critical to the County’s economic vitality and quality of life. It impacts the decisions related to business and industry, development, educational facilities and real estate.
Added to the Plan will be a transit map prepared as a tool for residents to plan trips on the extensive railroad and bus network serving our County. An electronic version will be made available on the County website for easy access to updates on service changes.
The new plan will be conducted by the Bureau of Transportation Planning, Division of Strategic Planning & Intergovernmental Relations in the Department of Economic Development. Work on the project will be complete by June 2016.
