Child seat inspection program will resume operation beginning Wednesday, August 19th. We will conduct seat inspections every Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30am-11:00am with open inspections, meaning no appointment is necessary. We will be closed for major holidays and during inclement weather. Due to the Covid pandemic we do have some new guidelines for parents and caregivers. Everyone, including children, are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing with others attending the inspection facility. Also, we ask that parents and caregivers be prepared to assist with the installation of the car seats, unless they are grandparents or physically incapable. We do ask that they read the owner’s manuals for both their vehicle and the car seat and attempt to install the seat before arriving. In order to limit possible exposure, it is recommended that parents and caregivers do not bring children to the inspection.

The Office of Consumer Affairs is working remotely. Please report suspected fraud, price gouging and other scams online at, or call 908-654-9840. All voice mail is checked regularly.
