Don’t Mail It.

Drop It!

Union County Board of Elections Administrator Nicole DiRado informs voters that secure ballot drop box locations for the 2026 General Election will open on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Two drop box locations have changed since the last General Election. The Hillside drop box has moved to Conant Park, located at 320 Conant Street. The Summit drop box is now located at the Summit Community Center, 100 Morris Avenue.

All 24 secure ballot drop boxes will remain open through the close of polls at 8:00 p.m. on November 3, 2026. Drop boxes are available to voters 24 hours a day, seven days a week, monitored by camera surveillance at all times and ADA accessible.

Following recent action by the United States Supreme Court, existing vote-by-mail procedures remain in place for the November General Election. Voters who wish to avoid potential postal delays are encouraged to use one of Union County’s 24 secure ballot drop boxes for a convenient and reliable way to return their ballot.

The full list of ballot drop box locations is available on the Union County Board of Elections website at ucnj.org/ucboe.

The list of certified Early Voting and Election Day polling locations is also available on the Board’s website. Each voter’s assigned polling location will appear on their sample ballot.

Voters are encouraged to bring their sample ballots with them to the polling location for an easier check-in process.
