Union County Managed Vaccination Sites

Appointments are strongly recommended. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Identification must be presented for both the parent/legal guardian and the child receiving the vaccination. Those under 18 years old are required to fill out a consent form. This form is also provided on-site.

Updated Bivalent Guidance

Children ages 6 months–4 years

  • Recommended to receive 2 bivalent mRNA Moderna doses or 3 bivalent mRNA Pfizer vaccine doses if unvaccinated.
  • If patients are in the middle of their monovalent series, their next dose(s) will be a bivalent dose to complete the “primary series”. 
  • If patients have previously completed their monovalent series, they are eligible for 1 bivalent dose two months after their last monovalent dose.

Children age 5 years

  • Recommended to receive 1 bivalent mRNA Pfizer vaccine dose or 2 bivalent mRNA Moderna vaccine doses if unvaccinated
  • If patients are in the middle of their monovalent series, their next dose will be a bivalent dose to complete the “primary series”. 
  • If patients have previously completed their monovalent series, they are eligible for 1 bivalent dose two months after their last monovalent dose. 

People ages 6 years and older 

  • For who are unvaccinated or previously received only monovalent vaccine doses are recommended to receive 1 bivalent mRNA vaccine dose. If they are immunocompromised, an additional dose is optional. 

People ages 65 years and older

  • May receive 1 additional bivalent mRNA vaccine dose 4 months after their last bivalent dose, 2 months if immunocompromised.

Vaccines for Homebound Residents

The service is available to all home bound Union County residents free of charge, as part of the Union County Commissioner Board’s efforts to ensure that COVID-19 vaccines reach every household in the community  as quickly as possible. There is no income eligibility cutoff.

The home vaccination service is offered by the Union County Commissioner Board.
