The Office of Health Management maintains an Emergency CHAIN (Community Health Alert Information Network) as part of Union County Local Public Health Emergency Communications System. Electronic dissemination of critical public health related information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), New Jersey Department of Health, County and Local Health Departments is forwarded to designated groups and individual health care providers via the New Jersey Local Information Network and Communications System (LINCS).
Updates to the system will be conducted on an annual base to ensure accurate contacts.
This feature is not for the general public for emergency alerts and notifications. The County’s UC-FirstAlert and social media channels are available for users to view and register to receive emergency alerts.
