Freeholder Board Announces Additional Free COVID-19 Test Locations for November

The Union County Mobile Test Unit will conduct free saliva tests for the public and for the UC-TEST program in six municipalities

Union County, NJ – The Freeholder Board has announced upcoming events for the Union County Mobile Test Unit for the month of November. Free COVID-19 saliva tests will be administered at events across the county from November 17 through November 24.

The schedule includes events open to all Union County residents, and events that are part of the UC-TEST Program for teachers, staff and school administration officials who work in Union County.

“The Freeholder Board is proud to continue to offer free COVID tests county-wide, as we continue to work to keep our communities safe,” said Freeholder Chairman, Alexander Mirabella. “We encourage residents to get tested if they have any concerns about exposure to COVID-19, whether or not they have symptoms.”

The walk up events are open to all Union County residents and no appointment is necessary. Those wishing to be tested should bring a smart phone or tablet and refrain from food, drink or chewing gum 30 minutes before testing. 

The Mobile Test Unit will hold free COVID-19 testing for the general public on:

Tuesday, 11/17 – Cranford

10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Orange Avenue Pool, 1025 Orange Avenue, Cranford

Thursday, 11/19 – Linden

10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Wheeler Park, Water Park Parking Lot, 234 Stimpson Avenue, Linden

Saturday, 11/21 – Roselle

10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Heard AME Church, 310 East 8th Avenue, Roselle

Tuesday, 11/24 – Union  

10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Jefferson School, 155 Hilton Avenue, Union

The UC-TEST program will administer free COVID-19 tests to teachers, staff and administration working within Union County only on the following dates:

Tuesday, 11/17 – Scotch Plains

3 p.m. – 5 p.m.  Scotch Plains-Fanwood Board of Education, 512 Cedar Street, Scotch Plains

Tuesday, 11/24 – Rahway  

3 p.m. – 5 p.m.  7th/8th Grade Academy, 1139 Kline Avenue, Rahway

These events are sponsored by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and done in cooperation with the City of Elizabeth and Union County College.
