TAKE NOTICE that the County of Union has notified the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, of its intention to develop its Park on Green Lane in Union, NJ by constructing a children’s playground and the facilities needed for its use, including a parking area and public restrooms and storage space.    This development will result in a change from undeveloped to developed property, and consequently, a public hearing to obtain public comment on this matter, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.6, will be held at the:

Union Municipal Building
Council Chamber
1976 Morris Avenue
Union, NJ   07083
on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 6 PM.

All interested parties are invited to attend and participate in this public hearing. Written comments on this request and proposal may be directed to Assistant County Counsel, Kevin Campbell, Esq. (908) 527-4250, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, Elizabeth, NJ 07207. Copies of any written comments submitted on this proposal shall also be sent to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, Bureau of Legal Services and Stewardship, Mail Code 501-01, 501 East State St., P.O. Box 420, Trenton, NJ 08625-0420.

All information regarding the proposed change in purpose or use is available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Union Township’s Clerk’s Office, located at the Union Township Municipal Building, 1976 Morris Avenue, in Union, NJ. 

Written public comment on this request and proposal will be accepted until September 13, 2017.
