UNION COUNTY FREEHOLDERS ANNOUNCE MOBILE MEETINGS IN PLAINFIELD, SUMMIT AND WESTFIELD OVER NEXT TWO MONTHS

UNION COUNTY, NJ — The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders will host mobile meetings in several municipalities — Plainfield, Summit and Westfield — this month and next month, Freeholder Chairman Sergio Granados announced.

Freeholder Chairman Granados had announced that the County would be holding mobile meetings as part of his “Moving Union County Forward” initiatives for 2018.

“By bringing these meetings to different parts of Union County, we hope to engage more residents with County government, increase awareness of the services we provide, and foster community participation,” said Freeholder Chairman Granados. “In addition to welcoming input from the surrounding communities of Plainfield, Summit and Westfield, I would like to emphasize that these are countywide meetings and are open to all members of the public.”

The meetings, which start at 7:00 p.m., are all double meetings consisting of an agenda meeting first, followed by a regular meeting.

  • October 11th — Plainfield City Municipal Court, 325 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, NJ.
  • October 25th — Summit City Hall, 512 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ.
  • November 8th — Westfield Town Hall, 425 E. Broad Street, Westfield, NJ.

The public is always welcome to attend all meetings, and may participate during the comment portion of the regular meeting. Anyone with any questions can call the Freeholder Clerk’s office at 908-527-4100.
