Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the County of Union is open for essential business only, unless otherwise noted.
Anyone wishing to visit Union County government buildings on non-essential matters will not be allowed access to public buildings, and we encourage our residents to use our website for any non-emergent, non-essential service they may require. Please visit each department’s website below for specific information regarding on-site services and hours of operation.
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Union County Prosecutor’s Office (UCPO), led by Prosecutor William Daniel, who was sworn in as the Prosecutor on July 14, 2021.
Prosecutor Daniel not only serves as the County’s chief law enforcement officer, but also as the leader of the Prosecutor’s Office. With a staff of over 250 assistant prosecutors, investigators, forensic scientists, forensic nurses, police training experts, victim witness advocates, and civilian team-members, the Prosecutor’s Office is Union County’s largest law office and one of the County’s largest police agencies.
Together with the law enforcement executives from across the County, the members of this Office have the privilege of serving the public and are charged with promoting public safety, investigating and prosecuting criminal offenses, and doing justice.

To the people of Union County: you have the right to live your lives without becoming a victim of violence; to have your liberty, as well as the liberty of your neighbors, safeguarded; to own possessions knowing they will not be taken from you; to rest your head at night with the knowledge that should another transgress and cause harm to you, your family, or your property, such persons will be swiftly apprehended and brought to justice. Ensuring these rights is the most fundamental duty entrusted to government by those it governs and serves.
It is the mission of the Union County Prosecutor’s Office to allow the people of this County to live their lives without fear that those lives will be diminished by the acts of those who would betray the laws of a civilized society.
