Facility and Service Alerts
On Wednesday, March 15, 2017:
- Union County Paratransit will run essential service only on Wednesday, March 15th. Essential service includes transportation to dialysis, essential medical services and Route 22 Shuttle service.
Storm Update – 2:15 p.m.
County roads are being plowed, and the day has been quiet.
The County of Union, the City of Linden, Plainfield, Springfield, and Cranford have also opened up their emergency operations centers.
The County Public Works Department has about 65-70 pieces of equipment on the road. All of our tandem dump trucks are a combination of Salt Spreaders and Plows.
Public Works and Parks Maintenance employees are working to clear 352 lane miles of roadway and Parks facilities, and close to 400 bridges and culverts.
Lastly, we are urging all residents to stay off roads, and travel only as needed. Check on your neighbors, especially if they are elderly and be mindful of any pets who are outdoors.
While power has not been an issue here, residents of Union County can also find a list of their respective utilities at our webpage at www.ucnj.org
