Notice of Contract Award

The Union County Workforce Development Board (“UCWDB”) has awarded the contract identified below, through the Competitive Contracting provisions set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1 et seq. The contract has been awarded after a solicitation through a Fair and Open Process in accordance N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. The UCWDB awarded a contract to the County of Union, New Jersey, Department of Human Services, for the provision of AJC Operator Services in an amount not to exceed $6,240,000.00 for the time period beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2019, subject to and conditioned upon receipt of all projected federal and state funding and any approvals required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The authorizing resolution is, and the contract when finalized shall be, available for public inspection during regular business hours, in the office of the UCWDB, 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, 4th Floor, Elizabeth, New Jersey 07207

The Union County Workforce Development Board has announced its Program Year 2016 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Out-of-School Youth Employment and Training Consortium award totaling $ 477,000.00 to fund one (1) WIOA Out-of-School Youth Employment & Training Consortium program. The award recipient, Union Way of Greater Union County, will offer employment related and career exposure experiences to a minimum of 64 out-of-school youth. The program period for the WIOA Out-of-School Youth Employment and Training Consortium contract is 12/1/2016 through 3/31/2018. All interested for profit and not for profit organizations located in and around the County of Union area were invited to forward proposals for funding that met specific criteria as mandated by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
