An Ordinance Amending the Union County District Solid Waste management Plan to 1) include the Waste Management of New Jersey, Inc., facilities in Elizabeth, New Jersey as the County’s designated facilities to which solid waste types 13, 13C, 23 and 27 are directed for disposal; 2) incorporate the Solid Waste Disposal Services agreement by and between the Union County Utilities Authority and Waste Management of New Jersey, Inc., for the provision of disposal services for solid waste types 13, 13C, 23 and 27; and 3) direct all solid waste types 13, 13C, 23 and 27 to the Waste Management of New Jersey, Inc., facilities in Elizabeth, New Jersey for disposal, pursuant to regulatory waste flow control.
An ordinance to amend the Union County District Solid Waste Management Plan to modify the Union County District Solid Waste Management Plan by modifying the facility lease agreement and waste disposal agreement between the Union County Utilities Authority (UCUA) and Covanta Union, LLC (Covanta) by extending the term of the facility lease agreement for a period of twenty-two (22) years from December 15, 2031 to December 15, 2053, resulting in substantial savings to the UCUA through the elimination of the waste delivery obligation for 100,000 tons annually from governmental entities outside of the County of Union.
An ordinance to amend “the laws of Union County: administrative code and policies and general legislation” by amending part 1, chapter 1, article xiv, departments; divisions; bureaus; article xvi, Department of Human Services; article xvii-Administrative Services; article xviii, Department of Parks and Recreation; chapter 44, department head qualifications; chapter 138, vehicles and traffic; deleting chapter 64, health care services and adding chapter 140, contracted off-duty employment of law enforcement officers; and, adopting the 2016 Department of Parks and Recreation, fees for recreation facilities.

Bond ordinance to authorize the provision of funding to the Union County Improvement Authority in connection with various projects in, by and for the County of Union, State of New Jersey, to appropriate the sum of $1,250,000 to pay the cost thereof, to make a down payment, to authorize the issuance of bonds to finance such appropriation and to provide for the issuance of bond anticipation notes in anticipation of the issuance of such bonds.
Bond ordinance to authorize the making of various public improvements and the acquisition of new additional or replacement equipment and machinery, new additional furnishings, new communication and signal systems equipment, new information technology and telecommunications equipment and new automotive vehicles, including original apparatus and equipment, in, by and for the County of Union, State of New Jersey, to appropriate the sum of $58,933,154 to pay the cost thereof, to appropriate state grants, to make a down payment, to authorize the issuance of bonds to finance such appropriation and to provide for the issuance of bond anticipation notes in anticipation of the issuance of such bonds.
An ordinance of the County of Union, State of New Jersey authorizing the guaranty of the payment of the principal of and interest on not exceeding $59,000,000 aggregate principal amount of county-guaranteed lease revenue bonds, series 2016 (community center and library project), issued by the Union County Improvement Authority for the purpose of providing additional security therefore and determining certain other matters in connection therewith.
