Union County Transportation Master Plan

Union County has released the new 2016 Union County Transportation Master Plan.  The Plan provides the framework for transportation planning and investment for the County and municipalities in years to come.

Participation by the public and municipal officials was critical to crafting a relevant Plan. To achieve this, we welcomed comments and guidance from municipal officials, residents and the business community.

Transportation infrastructure is critical to the County’s economic vitality and quality of life. It impacts the decisions related to business and industry, development, educational facilities and real estate.

Added to the Plan is a public transportation map of Union County is a tool for residents to plan trips on the extensive railroad and bus network serving our County.

The new plan was conducted by the Bureau of Transportation Planning, Division of Strategic Planning & Intergovernmental Relations in the Department of Economic Development.

Work on the project was completed by June 2016.
