Union County Freeholder Chairman Deborah Scanlon (3rd L), Vice Chairman Alexander Mirabella (R) and Freeholders Bette Jane Kowalski (2nd R), Linda Carter (2nd L) and Christopher Hudak present a resolution to Adele Kenny of Fanwood congratulating her on being honored at the Union County Commission on the Status of Women’s 19th Annual Women of Excellence Awards dinner on March 25 in Garwood. Kenny was honored for excellence in arts and humanities.

The Commission on the Status of Women is sponsored by The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Its’ mission is to call attention to the contributions of women who live or work in Union County. Each year, awards are given in different fields including education, health care, the arts, government, business, law, community service, technology, humanitarianism, public service, women’s advocacy, and lifetime achievement.
