The Union County Board of County Commissioners is excited to announce that the We Are One New Jersey-Union County Center it relocating from 288 Broad Street in Elizabeth to a new facility at 1591 Irving Street in Rahway. The location is conveniently located within walking distance from Rahway Train Station and Bus Line (Bus Stop #29392).
“The move marks a new chapter for the center, which has been a cornerstone for immigrant advocacy and support in Union County,” said Commissioner Chairwoman Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded. “Our new location in Rahway will allow us to better serve the Union County community and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our new office and continuing our mission of providing essential support to those navigating the path to citizenship.”
During the transition period starting on July 10th, the office will be closed to the general public. However, support remains accessible via phone and email to ensure continuous assistance to our community. The office will officially reopen at the Rahway location on July 15th, ready to continue providing invaluable services to Union County residents.
We Are One New Jersey-Union County Center provides a variety of services, including U.S. citizenship application assistance, preparatory classes for the citizenship test, and referral, notary, and translation services at low or no cost. These offerings are essential for helping legal immigrants integrate into their communities and achieve U.S. citizenship. Since its opening in 2015, the center has played a crucial role in supporting the immigrant community with educational resources and assistance throughout the citizenship application process.
