The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Union County and the surrounding area until 10:00 pm tonight, Friday July 1st.
A tornado watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that are capable of producing tornadoes. A tornado watch therefore implies that it is also a severe thunderstorm watch. Please travel with caution during any thunderstorms or inclement weather that may occur.
